The Lawn

Union Rd, Lincoln LN1 3BL, UK – 01522 523548

This is a wonderful area of Lincoln to visit, especially with the new Stokes Lawn Café serving delicious freshly roasted coffees 👌🏼 Excellent grounds for a lovely summers walk and even a play area for the kids.

The Lawns is one of the very few areas near to Lincoln Castle that you can visit with children and dogs. There is a free play area section for children separated by fences from dogs and comprises several amusements -slide etc. Unfortunately the lawns has suffered from a radical change in its structure with the Joseph Banks Conservatory being removed and the area converted into more car parking. Futhermore, 64 healthy trees have been destroyed in this process , some rare and all were valuable in a city area that does not have much greenery. The old Asylum building was left in disrepair by the council for a number of years but recently this has been purchased by a local company and refurbishments are taking place. However, dog walkers, visitors et al have lost out as ther is now a reduced green area with new yet unannounced restrictions being imposed.Hopefully, these negative changes will be mitigated by the intended developments of a new cafe, restaurant and piazza for visitors and the upgrading of the Dawber gardens which are to be found behind the chidrens play area.We await these changes with baited breath and a heavy heart.

Neus has been my dentist for a few years now. Never had a problem and she has always been polite and friendly. Anna and neus are a credit to the NHS

Definitely not a model patient I am terrified of going. My broken front tooth was restored and looks wonderful. Thank you Pablo for your skill, and expertise. Very impressed with Carholme practise.

Local hospitals - community hospitals and hospitals with A&E departments for LN1 3TJ.

The new NHS website below is very well worth a look. Hospitals are not only listed but evaluated. I certainly know which ones I would go to! At the very least you will know what questions to ask if you are sent to one which has not entered its data. Good luck!
